Wireless TV

2003-07-17

On the train the other day I saw an ad for Sony's new Wireless LCD TVs. It comes with a box you plug your VCR and DVD player into. That box beams the signal to the TV so that you can carry the TV around anywhere you want. Making dinner? Carry it to the kitchen. Washing clothes, put it in the laundry room. Etc.

I suppose that's overkill but it is something many of the LCD TV companies have been promoting. A 17 to 23 inch LCD screen is something most people can carry where as a 17 to 23 inch TV is not. Going wireless means that except for plugging the TV into a power outlet you don't need to bring all your other boxes (DVD player, etc) with you.
