Somebody recommended I check out Cowboy Bebop and so last weekend I watched the first 3 episodes. It starts off seeming like almost all style, no substance but it grew on me. Even so, at all style it was still pretty cool. The most distinctive thing is the music and according to this page is partly what inspired the series and the name “bebop” as in “bebop” style jazz.

I according to the listings it’s playing on Cartoon Network Sunday nights 12am Eastern, 9pm Pacific. If you get a chance check it out. Even if you don’t like anime you might decide you want the soundtrack 
Did you see the rest of the series? Such a great series! Yeah, it starts out kinda slow but it does start to pick up once all the major players are thrown together on the ship! Then, everything falls into place in the final episodes!
Wish they had made more episodes!
I'm watching them all. I think there are only 30 episodes, maybe 27. Although I'm in love with One Piece which is totally a continuing story based anime/manga, I like the contrast with Cowboy Bebop being more like X-Files in that though the characters build a history throughout the series the majority of the episodes can be taken on their own.
Well, they couldn’t really make anymore since *SPOILER* Spike died and Ed left. *END SPOILER* And there are 26 episodes and a movie.

i loved CB, great series. it was moderately cool, then i watched the 5th episode.

recommend the series to any anime fans, especially those who like an element of beauty and haunting serenity in it. some episodes will just blow you away
the whole thing is amazing, ive been a fan since my first glimpse of it on adult swim. the music, the style, the maturity, it overall laid back coolness.
i found on a website that episode was a special and is unreleased.
