Yes, it's me playing Mappy on my cell phone. It's missing the music and the bonus rounds but otherwise it's Mappy. One of the strange things about the cell phone games is, like old Amiga Eurodemos, they "unpack" so when you start them a progress bar appears while they setup. For whatever reason Galaga is the worst with easily a 1 minute or longer wait until you can start playing.

Well it was bound to happen but the first I−Appli bug has been found in one of the Sony phones according to this note from NTT DoCoMo They are having to re−call/upgrade all the phones. I wonder how many more bugs they'll find (or should I say, forced to deal with).

Did you know you can connect your Playstation (1 or 2) to your I−Appli phone? There are 5 games that currently support it. I think this will be the new way vs say a Pocketstation support. They have Dokodemo Issho for the I−Appli phones.

I saw on a Japanese TV program an interview with Kuki which is a porn company here in Japan and the interview was about the fact that they now stream porn video to the DoCoMo Eggy and that it has been farily popular.

That might not be a problem in America but here in Japan it's very common to see men reading porn on the trains as well as there is porn in several newspapers so even if they aren't reading it they might be reading the sports page or the stock page and some porn is on the back for you to look at.

Well I guess there was some communications trade show, CeBIT, and NTT DoCoMo was there showing off their new FOMA phones. You can see pictures of some of them here. W−CDMA and Bluetooth.

FOMA = Freedom of Mobile multimedia Access. It's NTT DoCoMo's name for W−CDMA service which starts here in Japan in May, less than 2 months away.

I was in Shinjuku today wondering around and I stumbled upon the DoCoMo tryout center. They had some of the FOMA phone models on display. 384K to the phone, 64K from. Fast enough for reasonable video.

Today in Japan they started a new service where you can get coupons on your cell phone.
