This is pretty sneaky and lame. You've probably run across sites that register a domain name that is a typo or a common mis−spelling of a popular site. Most of the time this happens it's a sex site. It makes you wonder, does the guy that thought that up actually get more customers that way?
Maybe you've seen this but today I found the Open Directory Project. It's kind of like a version Yahoo except it's run by volenteers. You can volunteer to be incharge of a particular category if you want to. The only bad thing is it's run by Netscape so if they go out of business then it may be history.
Didn't get addicted to Magic the Gathering cards or Pokemon cards well how about Peoplecards. Here's a sample card. Seems far more interesting to me than those other cards but then what do I know. 😉
Stealing an idea from Slashdot here are some "quickies".
Today I just wandered around for a while after school and stumbled upon the following things.
I was at Tokyu Hands (a large department store that carries tools, furniture, craft supplies, stationary, stuff. It's a way cool store though a little expensive. Anyway the had something called Bitman. Unfortunately there seems to be no offical webpage for it.
What is it? It's a 8by8 animated LED display you can wear as a necklace or use as a watch or a clock or for what ever. It has an animated guy that does all kinds of stuff and you can program it with a message. As far as I could tell you can't change the animation. That would make it way too cool.
Anybody care to make a 1 minute animation for the 1 minute animation festival? Acutally you are only required to do 58 seconds since the first second and last second have to be a black dot (see this example). If you don't want to do it but you have a good idea speak up. Maybe me or one of my friends will do it. It can be 3D, Flash, Paper, Clay. Just as long as it's animated.

You may have noticed I added a search box to my website powered by FreeFind. I don't remember what random links brought them to my attention but they offer to index your site for free. Google offers the same thing but Google does not promise to index your site often if ever. FreeFind does (or at least more than Google)
