Somebody recommended I check out Cowboy Bebop and so last weekend I watched the first 3 episodes. It starts off seeming like almost all style, no substance but it grew on me. Even so, at all style it was still pretty cool. The most distinctive thing is the music and according to this page is partly what inspired the series and the name "bebop" as in "bebop" style jazz.

I according to the listings it's playing on Cartoon Network Sunday nights 12am Eastern, 9pm Pacific. If you get a chance check it out. Even if you don't like anime you might decide you want the soundtrack 😉
