I got e−mail from www. moveandstay. com asking me to put a link on my page in exchange for one of theirs. I'm not really into link exchanges. Sure, if I think your site is interetsing I'll put a link. If you think mine is then feel free to put one but I don't really care to *exchange* them.
But, I followed the link to see what it was. It's a company that deals with housing for executives abroad.
The thing is, the places they are renting are $4000 to $6000 A MONTH!!!!! Who the hell can afford that?!?!?! I thought I was doing good before but I could never come close to being able to afford $4000 to $6000 a month on an anything? I can't hardly even imagine such a thing. If I made $200K a year, after taxes that would be $10K a month. The *guideline* that many people use for deciding if you can afford your rent is you should not be spending more than 1/3 of your income. That means you would have to be making over $300K a year to afford one of those places.
Sure, I know at least one or two people that make that but I don't know many. It really just seems like a glimpse into a completely different world. I mean, here's a company with nothing but listing after listing of places like this. Clearly there is a market for those places. Where do I sign up? I don't even think my family is/was aware of that world when I was growing up.
