What? No comments?! I can't believe a place for comments on Tommy's, and no comments. The original, #1 Tommy's! Not Tom's, Tommi's or any of the other stands that wannabe Tommy's. And the stand on Rampart!!! THE burger in LA. They're all chili burgers. Order one with out chili and you're getting (as the order-taker will loudly announce) a Sissyburger. Big thick slice of tomato, one of onion. Great! And the ambience! Where the cops from the nearby station mix with bizarre street people. Try to hit it at about 3 AM. Try it. loved your tommy's observations,, but one weird thing i remember about the place was the fact that they did not have normal paper napkins---just ridiculous sheets of waxed paper----so the grease just sort of ran off rather than being absorbed-----really kind of a sick (and ultra messy) joke. posted by formerangelenoSeptember 16, 2006 at 2:57 [ e ]
