I've been pretty busy lately with coding and coding questions and although I've wanted to post many of them on my site along with any answers I found (and hoping people offered some as well) I've not posted them, mostly because I feel they might be pretty boring to those coming here for Japan info.

I really wasn't thinking much about Valentine's day but friends keep asking in email, "How was your Valentine's Day?" and in replying to them it unforutnately makes me analyse the situation.

Like clockwork I came down with a cold. It's been 4 months since my last one, I generally get one every 3 months.

Last weekend I finally decided to try Speed Dating. Speed Dating is where you go to the speed dating place, usually a club or bar, and you spend 5 minutes meeting each partner. Every person has a number. You mark the numbers of the people you enjoyed talking to and that you think you would like to meet again and if they also marked you down then the host will send your contact info to each other.

I just got back from 10 days in LA visiting friends and family. It was really nice but with only 10 days it wasn't much of a vacation since every other day was going somewhere else to see someone else.

I was amazed at all the responses I got to my last big blog entry. Sometimes I thought about responding but I always felt like I'd just be defensive of the advice or ideas so I held off.

I've been sick for over friggen 3 weeks now. I came down with a cold the saturday after I went to TGS, 9/25 and I haven't been well since. It hasn't been a bad cold but it has been extremely annoying.

As always I think too much but it seems like if I don't think about these things time will just pass and I'll look up at 60−65 thinking why didn't I do something about this sooner? Of course the problem is knowing what to do and actually doing it.

I just got back from a week in Los Angeles. It was great! I hadn't been back in 2 1/2 years so I got to catch up with some family and friends.

I was on Amazon.com today and I have quite a few architecture books in my wish list. Amazon has this feature where based on what you just clicked on, what's in your shopping cart and what's in your wish list they recommend things you might be interested in. So it was that they recommended this book called Tokyo Houses.
