Currently they have 12 costumes but I other than the bull which I find kind of cute the rest look pretty cheezy if you ask me. Actually they have a “cheese” one.

Even above that, it’s open source. Maybe some linux fans could make a Mono version and actually have an usable app to replace the Gimp. Okay, I’m a gadget freak to some degree but this is just overboard.
It’s the ability to browse a program schedule on your phone, pick a program then point your cell phone at your VCR and have the phone program your VCR. I don’t need that feature. Here’s a cell phone for your luddite friends. It has only one feature. It makes/takes phone calls. There’s no display, nothing. Dial, Pickup or Hangup. Well, it’s only been 6 months and right on schedule the new summer phones are starting to appear. My 2 megapixel model has been upgraded to 3.2 megapixels. Of course that will mean my 2 megapixel phone will be blown out this month for 1 yen. It’s still going to be another 1 or 2 models before I’ll have no desire for a small party digital camera but we’re getting there.
More random cell phone news. Today I saw Panasonic’s new p252iS cell phone. It’s about 2/3rds the height of most other cell phones making it chou-kawaii!!! It’s got what is basically now the bottom of the line features in Japan which is color display, Java app/game support and a digital camera. It’s also got mini-SD card support to make it easy to get your pictures out. |
