I think it was a Slashdot link that led me to the video game stuff on the Internet Archive. That led me to the Neverhood Electronic Press Kit which reminded me of the guys that made it so I searched and found out Doug TenNapel’s new thing, Sockbaby!. Some of the same guys also made Skull Monkeys and Earthworm Jim.
