I don’t know what to say about Johnnies. I was just driving around and I saw this. It’s on Sepulevda south between the two Washingtons. The claim famous French Dip and Pastrami sandwiches. I tried it out and it was pretty good. It’s a small place but it looks like it either gets very crowed or used to get very crowed because there are lots of tables outside.

Johnnies was recommended to me in 1990 and I loved it – I brought my wife there and it became her favorite place to have a pastrami sandwitch. We travel about 110 miles just for the sandwitch. They have been there for years. Best little hole in the wall I know
All I have to say is Johnnies the BEST! I started eating at Johnnies in the 70s and continued til the late 80s when I moved. Now I live in South Carolina and the first place I stop is Johnnies when I arrive in L.A Johnnies is the BEST!
Johnnies was one of the first local resturants I went to after moving their in 1992. I lived in the area a little over four years and celebrated three birthdays there. I have since moved to the Northern California area but whenever I visit the L.A. County area I always have to eat at Johnnies before traveling back home.
